Started solo. Not planning to stay that way.
I'm Chris. I build web apps, desktop tools, games, and the odd Illustrator script that actually ship, mostly with AI and stubbornness. I named the studio after my quality-assurance process. So far it's just me in here, and I'd like to fix that.
Real products, up and running. Go click around. I'll wait.

The guy behind the curtain
Photographer turned developer, laser engraver by day, and currently the entire staff of this studio. I ship real products, and I'm looking for people to build the next ones with.
Ideas I'm still poking at. Some will ship, some won't. All of them seemed like a good idea at the time.

My day job is laser engraving, which means a lot of Illustrator, a lot of Photoshop, and the same twelve clicks over and over. So I write scripts that do the clicks. If your team has a repetitive Adobe job, I can probably make it one button.
Illustrator
Pick a logo and a layout, and it fills a whole engraving sheet: sized, spaced, centered, and mirrored when the job calls for it.
Photoshop
Cuts out the subject, crops it to shape, sizes it at 600 DPI, and tunes the contrast for the material. One dialog in, one file out.
Yours
Describe the clicks. That's usually all I need to tell you whether a script can take them off your plate.
Working together
Everything on this page was built solo. That was fun, and it's also the problem: the next things I want to build are bigger than one person. Seasoned pro or just trying to get a foot in the door, if one of these sounds like you, come say hi.
Designers, developers, writers, photographers, people with one oddly specific skill: if you want to make something small and real together, I'm in.
You know a market, an industry, or a problem from the inside. I can turn that into software people actually use.
Got a project, a product, or a weirdly specific idea that needs building? Or just want to compare notes? Say hi.
Trying to break in? Come learn the way of The Forge.
You don't need a resume to get in here. I'm looking for eager learners who are trying to break through and would rather learn by building something real. The Forge is how projects get planned in this studio before any code exists: brief it, map it, argue with it, then build it with AI. I'll show you how it works. Or skip the lesson and lend a hand wherever you're dangerous.
Raise your handHands wanted for
The unfun part: none of this is a job offer. If we work together, we agree the terms in writing first. The legal bit.
Curious what I'm like to work with? Here's what I look for in people, and here are all 16 projects.
